Carolyn J. Woodruff, is a North Carolina Board Certified Family Law Specialist with more than twenty years' experience in family law. She is the founder and managing attorney of Woodruff Family Law Group at 420 West Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. She is a North Carolina Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst of business. She is a graduate of Duke Law School with high honors and she was Research and Managing Editor of the Duke Law Journal. While Carolyn handles a full case load at Woodruff Family Law Group, she spends much of her time giving back to the community by sharing her passion for ballroom dance. Ballroom dance was Carolyn's personal divorce recovery program. At age forty, she had never danced, but a former friend suggested that she try five things she had never tried before but had always wanted to try. So here's the bucket list: dance, flying, billiards, motorcycles, and scuba diving. Out of these, dance and flying became life-changing. Carolyn, along with Alosha Anatoliy of Fred Astaire Greensboro, have become three time Fred Astaire Ballroom Dance National Smooth Champions and Fred Astaire Cabaret Champions. Carolyn and Alosha are Gold Best of the Best Show Dance Champions, and have made four appearances in the New York Show, Dance Legends. Carolyn also does showdance in the community, with her husband, Dwight.Carolyn and her husband, Dwight Ensley, are co-authors of the children's holiday book, The Seven Nights of Santa. Captain Green Eyes, a black cat that flies a biplane, is the hero of the book. The book is for small children, their parents, grandparents, and caregivers. As an inspiration from the book, Carolyn started the Captain Green Eyes Dance Troupe, with the Boys and Girls Club in Greensboro, a free summer dance camp for children.Carolyn also is a private pilot and enjoys flying a single engine Piper Cherokee Archer 180.
